Meet Our Staff

Barry Sigman

Photographer/ Chief Editor

Barry's whirlwind photography career began with a daydream at a mom n pop BBQ restaurant in west Houston. It was there that he picked up a local music magazine called Best in Texas.  He said, "I'm gonna shoot for them." And shoot he did!  He travelled all over the city and parts of southwest Texas shooting "red dirt" Texas music artists.  Some of which became national such as Pat Green.  Soon, his reputation grew as a professional concert photographer and he branched off into hard news publications, shooting for Houston Chronicle and Houston Press.  As his photography circle grew bigger, he started his own website, All Access Music News. Since then, his credits and reputation have grown.  He has shot many national artists such as Kieth Urban, Loretta Lynn, Ronnie Dunn, Garth Brooks, Marshall Tucker, Jim Messina, Jefferson Starship, Foreigner, the Doobie Brothers and Stevie Wonder.  Then, in 2015, after relocating to the central coast of California, he joined the exclusive staff of a local concert series called Tales From the Tavern and has worked alongside rock photography legend, Henry Diltz.  Although his credits are too many to list, the pages of our new blog will speak for themselves!

                                          Writer/ Photographer Texas Correspondent

Richard has been with our staff almost since the beginning.  When we moved out to California, we wanted to keep a Texas correspondent to cover the rich music scene in Texas and Richard was the man!  His stellar, unique photography style and easy writing style have earned him an honored place on our publication. Who says you can't be in two places at once?  AAMN is on the Pacific coast as well as the Gulf coast.  Thank you, Richard!

Yep, it's me!  It's weird writing my own bio but after all, I am part of the staff.  I've been with AAMN since its inception and in fact it was the brainchild of Barry and I. If you haven't figured it out yet, yes, I'm Barry's wife too.  I got my writing mojo back in 2000 writing short fluff stories on the Doobie Brothers Fans Yahoo list serve.  Little did I know that someday, I would meet the band and get to know them personally.  What really inspired me to be a music writer was Cameron Crowe's movie, Almost Famous.  I daydreamed about being a writer for a music magazine and guess what?  It came true.  It's been a wild ride.  I've interviewed and written about so many bands and artists, I can't even count!  One of my favorite English teachers once told me, "write the way you talk, write how you think," and that is what I do.
