Abra Cadabra Captures the Spirit of ABBA

Abra Cadabra sounds like a magician's incantation but it's also the name of a tribute group for the iconic 70s musical group, ABBA.  There was magic in the air as they brought ABBA's memorable tunes to life in a glittering performance at the Solvang Theaterfest, April 7, 2026.  The energy on stage was electric and contagious, raising audiences to their feet to dance as they performed the hit Dancing Queen not only once, but twice ending the evening with it.  Multiple costume changes featuring boa feathers, flickering lights and oodles of sequins added to the disco feel of the performance.  After the performance, each member took the time to pose for pictures with all their fans.  And just like the song says, they were all "having the time of their lives". --Written by Gina Sigman  Photos by Barry Sigman

Barry Sigman Photographer/ Chief Editor Barry's whirlwind photography career began with a daydream at a mom n pop BBQ restaurant in west Houston. It was there that he picked up a local music magazine called Best in Texas.  He said, "I'm gonna shoot for them." May 25th, 2025 : Three Dog Night Brings Joy and Celebration to the Central Coast

                                                              Photos by Barry Sigman 70's band, Three Dog Night performed in concert in the Samala room at the Chumash casino in Santa Ynez California for a Friday night filled with music and memories.  The band, whose lyrics embody a time when people loved freely, talked face-to-face, danced and left politics to stogy-smoking Washington bureaucrats.  With 21 top 40 songs, there is bound to be at least one that is in the soundtrack of any baby boomer or gen Xer's life. Hey.
